Working
from a Narrative perspective TalkingLongTerm will
develop a range of digital resources focusing on
first hand accounts of those involved in the diverse
experiences of dealing with Long Term Conditions.
Developed in partnership with a network of collaborating
organisations TLT will create an online multimedia
database of narrative resources with a wide range
of educational, training and research applications.
The need to place first hand
accounts of peoples’ experiences of health
care at the centre of research, education, and training
agendas is now widely acknowledged to be a high
priority.
The recent growth of interest in narrative approaches
to health, and the potential therapeutic qualities
inherent in such approaches, provides a rich and
flexible context within which to locate such accounts.
